About
Daina Swagerty, founder of DSDC, is an African American designer and artist based in Los Angeles, California. After years of experience in architecture and interiors, DSDC was established in 2018 to help further her passion for promoting beauty across cultures, as well as her interest in projects of multiple scales. Daina holds an M.Arch from Syracuse University School of Architecture, a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has worked on both the east and west coast.
DSDC aims to design holistic spaces that exude comfort, incite intrigue, and inspire. Each project is inherently unique with no "one-size fits all" solution. She believes in a thoughtful and sensitive approach to design that prioritizes listening, educating,
co-creation, and transparency. Above all, the studio's most essential goal is to design spaces, furniture, and art that make people feel good.
